Neo Yokio: Funny or Trash?
In the light of recent presentations revolving comedy, I had to talk about Neo Yokio. This show, was a truly wild ride and I have to admit... I enjoyed it. However, when I mention it to anyone, I have met with responses similar to: " we do not talk about that trash." Neo Yokio is an American-Japanese anime starring celebrities like Jaden Smith and Jude Law. Nonetheless, in the eyes of avid anime watchers, Neo Yokio is not welcome. Perhaps I am a rare specimen, in my personal experience with anything I try to analyze what the objective of the work is. So Neo Yokio was created as a piece of comedy, but anyone I have talked to about it say they hate it because it is stupid. To me, that was the point of the show. The show revolves around main character Kaz Kaan, who is at the top of the social class and struggles to find any joy in life.
